Nissan 370 Z


The new 2012 NISSAN 370 Z roadster

The 2012 370Z Roadster is a 2-door, 2-passenger convertible sports car, available in two trims, the Base and the Touring.

Upon introduction, both trims are equipped with a standard 3.7-liter, V6, 332-horsepower engine that achieves 18-mpg in the city and 25-mpg on the highway. A 7-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard on the Base. A 6-speed manual transmission with overdrive is standard on the Touring, and a 7-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is optional.

The 2012 370Z Roadster is a carryover from 2011.

In the 370Z, The 4th generation of the legendary Nissan VQ  V6 has been increased to 3.7 L which produces 332 Hp for massive Low-end power.  The 370 Z available with heated and cooled seat .

Maruti Ertiga


 
Review of Maruti Suzuki Ertiga
If you look at the Ertiga, you could be forgiven to think, it's based on the Ritz. Because the face looks like an evolution of the Ritz'. But in reality, the Ertiga is a stretched out Swift platform. Clever packaging and a longer wheelbase means this Swift suddenly thinks it's a people-mover. 

The Ertiga will be available both in petrol and diesel versions. The petrol motor is 1.4-litre K-series engine putting out 94bhp and 130Nm of torque. It's peppy, rev-happy and fun to push.

Diesel power comes from the celebrated DDIS powerplants. The 1.3, with a variable geometry turbo produces 89bhp and 200Nm of torque which comes in handy especially when fully loaded. Out of the two, the diesel is certainly the sensible option, but the petrol performance is hard to ignore. 

On the road, the petrol is certainly the one to have. It loves to rev and you'll love to use that stubby gearshift as you drive down a twisty road. The diesel may not be as free revving as the K14A, but there's a slug of torque past 1500rpm which gives the Ertiga a spring in it's step. The diesel is a good cruiser while the petrol is for those spirited white van drivers. 
 
Maruti claims the petrol will hit a ton in 12.1 seconds and the diesel will take 13.9 seconds. Both cars top out at 160kph. ARAI fuel efficiency figures are pegged at 16.02kpl for the petrol and 20.77kpl for the diesel. We'll wait till we can strap on our equipment to verify those numbers. 

On the inside, it's much like the Swift as you'd expect. As far as people-mover business goes, the Ertiga is quite capable. It will seat seven people and even the last row gets decent legroom thanks to the sliding middle row. In ZDi trim, you get a lot of equipment too like dual airbags, ABS and twin aircon. No climate control though. 
 
Overall, you'd come out of the Ertiga impressed. It drives much like a car and not like those body-roll special MPVs. Its compact and yet spacious and lastly it comes with Maruti peace of mind. So is this the Eureka moment for Maruti? It is a good move by Maruti. But pricing is key to the success of the Ertiga. Because it will be a shame for such capable car to have an inflated pricetag. Mercedes A class


 
Mercedes-Benz exposed its refreshed 2013 A -Class lineup  at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show . The five-door hatch and Mercedes CLS–inspired sedan, along with the minivan-style B-class tall wagon and apossible crossover, are due to hit the U.S. market for the 2013 model year, and the four body styles all will share the same front-wheel-drive platform. The A-class will go clash with Audi’s upcoming A3 sedan and hatch and the next-gen BMW 1-series , This is the CLASH of TITANS  .
Let us see the some view of A Class.
 
Front side: Make your heart beat faster and experience highlights of the new A-Class.Exciting – just as good design should be: the Style equipment line has more than Basic. The visual highlights of this line include the modern twin-louvre radiator grille facing in the vehicle colour and the striking design of the wheels. Sports seats in the interior also reflect the athleticism of the new A-Class.
 
Rear side:
In tune with the lifestyle of a modern generation: the Urban equipment line. The sporty wheel design and stainless steel exhaust tailpipes give the new A-Class a very self-assured presence. Similar to what they did last year, Volkswagen has announced the arrival of the Vento and Polo IPL Edition II, in tune with the interest generated by the 2012 season of the Indian Premier League. The  special edition will feature authentic IPL goodies for the cricket enthusiasts.

Select variants of the Polo and Vento will come with an interactive car pad with multimedia entertainment system with navigation and social networking options for the rear seat passenger, dual tone leatherette seat covers, special floor mats, door sill design and IPL branding on the boot.

Mr. Neeraj Garg, Director and Member of Board with Volkswagen Passenger Cars said, "last year we launched our first action model the Vento IPL Edition and there on introduced the Breeze models of both the Polo and the Vento. Mitsubishi Pajero Sport


Now the Mitsubishi launched Pajero Sport in India

The last time we spoke to a Hindustan Motors (HM) executive about upcoming products from the Mitsubishi stable, he told us, “With the refreshed Mitsubishi Outlander out of the way, we’ll now concentrate on the Pajero Sport”.

That conversation happened some time in 2010. And the gentleman who gave us this valuable information has left HM. And finally the Pajero Sport has arrived.

So, yes, the Pajero Sport. the all-new Avatar of  Pajero Sport is, well, all-new and has nothing in common with the current Pajero. Except the name. Previously  Pajero had been known for it’s  performance only in India and customer wants more  about its looks.  So the Mitsubishi did it .

Like the Toyota Fortuner that is based on the Hilux pick-up platform, the Pajero Sport shares its underpinnings with the L200 pick-up truck. This platform has just gone through a thorough revision, and is a light-year or so ahead of the original Pajero in every way.

We get a 2.5-litre common-rail diesel unit, which makes 178bhp and 400Nm of torque. This should be enough to push the two-tonne SUV ahead of the Fortuner which has ten less horses and 57Nm less torque than the Pajero Sport. Besides, with a smaller capacity engine, the Pajero Sport has better fuel-efficiency than the Fortuner. You also get Mitsubishi’s rally-proven shift-on-the-fly Super Select 4WD and generous ground clearance of 215mm.

The front gets that typical Mitsubishi rally sport treatment. So if you’re looking for that rugged people-mover front, look elsewhere. The side is pretty boxy. And the taillights are inspired. Which may not sound good, but if your taillight inspiration is from an Alfa Romeo, well, no harm done at all.


 
The black-and-beige inside is one of the best interiors we’ve seen in this segment yet. And after the Outlander, we do think Mitsubishi does classy, sporty interiors. It gets a double-din touch screen stereo, leather seats, climate control, air-conditioning vents for all rows among other things. Other goodies include abundant cargo space and flexible seats that fit in nearly everything an open pickup truck would take. The Sport for now will be a CBU for now but assembly in India will follow by September 2012.
The Mitsubishi Pajero Sport will come only with a 4x4 variant and manual transmission. It is competitively priced at Rs 23.5 lakh ex-showroom Delhi.

The first U.S. car with R-1234yf A/C   : The Cadillac XTS 
Cadillac XTS will be the first U.S. car with an R-1234yf air-conditioning system.
We’re “almost” ready for R-1234yf, the new low global warming auto A/C refrigerant that is being used in place of R-134a to meet European regulations and gain U.S. EPA fuel economy credits. “Almost” applies despite the fact that R-1234yf already has been installed in a small number of cars in Europe since last winter and is coming to Cadillacdealers in a matter of a few months.

The major problem is R-1234yf supply. A large plant in China, a joint venture between DuPont and Honeywell, reportedly is ready to go, but Chinese government requirements for additional documentation apparently have delayed the needed approval for production to start. So the only supply of R-1234yf is from a pilot plant operated by Honeywell, as the company holds patents covering applications for the refrigerant. Although overturning these patents is the object of lawsuits and complaints with regulatory agencies by potential competitors in Europe and the U.S., at this time the refrigerant is single-source.

Honeywell has focused on delivering most of the available R-1234yf to Europe, where a European Community regulation mandates a low global warming refrigerant for all new platform vehicles since Jan. 1, 2011. Car companies have juggled production and introduction schedules to conform to the regulation and deal with the supply problem. However, Honeywell has a supply contract with General Motors and, despite the shortage, will provide enough refrigerant for the new Cadillac XTS, the larger-than-CTS luxury sedan coming in late spring, and then also for the ATS, the smaller-than-CTS sports sedan to be introduced in mid-summer. GM will earn fuel economy-related carbon dioxide emissions credits for the change.

Infiniti Emerg-E Concept

Guess who's unveiling a clever, beautiful and very serious mid-engined sports-car concept at Geneva? The Infiniti Emerg-E electric sports car  ,Yes that is it . It has unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show manages to pull that trick off with aplomb — and it could become far more than a show car.
Built as a collaboration between Nissan's luxury brand and Lotus, the Emerg-E uses the same electric-with-gas backup power system as a Chevrolet Volt, but laid out in a sports car. The rear wheels turn thanks to two 201-hp electric motors, which can travel 30 miles on electrons only before a petit 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder gasoline engine turns on to recharge the lithium-ion battery pack.
In most similar concepts, that combination of motors, an engine and enough batteries for a round trip to the supermarket creates a vehicle that weighs at least a third more than it otherwise might. The Emerg-E uses aluminum and carbon fiber to stay light, and even so still weighs 3,500 lbs. But that 402-hp system pushes the Emerg-E to 60 mph in 4 seconds, while granting a 300-mile range in total. Based on Infinit's estimates, the Emerg-E would get roughly 99 mpg.
All of which would make it just another electric show horse except for two things -- its striking exterior, and Infiniti's plans to build a few copies for test driving, with the potential for full production. Infiniti has never established itself among the top-tier of luxury car brands around the world; building something as striking as the Emerg-E with or without its electrical power would push them closer than any new SUV. And with Honda pledging to revive the NSX as a hybrid sports car in 2015, putting a competitor in dealerships would only get more customers charged up.
 

Bentley EXP 9 F



Bentley's new Concept SUV
The Bentley  pulling an silk cloth off what might well be the biggest and grandest concept car at Geneva.
This massive-SUV has a wheelbase some 200mm longer than a Range Rover. It's got similar rear legroom to the mighty Mulsanne saloon. To give you an idea of scale, those are 23-inch wheels. And it's punched through the mud - or more likely over desert dunes or down the autobahn - by a 600bhp W12 turbo.
Bentley's bosses say that if they build one, it's got to be the fastest and most expensive SUV in the world. They also concede it probably won't be quite as good off-road as a Range Rover, nor quite as sporty on tarmac as a Cayenne. But they want to split the difference in some style. And for anyone inside it while it's doing its thing, comfort and unassailable luxury are an absolute given.

Ferrari F12 Berlinetta

The most high performance Ferrari ever is unveiled online in the run-up to its official debut at Geneva
“I am very proud to be presenting our latest creation, the product of a huge amount of work, passion and our collaborations with our finest technological partners worldwide”.
Warm words of welcome indeed from Chairman Luca di Montezemolo  for theF12berlinetta which ushers in a whole new generation of Ferrari 12-cylinders.

The meaning of  berlinetta is an especially sporty form of coupe. Typically a two-seater, the type may include 2+2s. And the real meaning for berlinetta in Italian is "little saloon" .It was Introduced in the 1930s, and that term was popularized by Ferrari in the 1950s.

The new car has been well worth the wait, delivering unprecedented performance and a striking new design that is both classic and innovative at once.

It had already been announced that the new arrival would hail a revolution in the Ferrari V12 range, and the F12berlintetta does mark a genuine break with the past. It has an extraordinarily efficient powertrain courtesy of running gear, architecture and components that ensure its 740 hp are exploited to the last.

In fact, after putting the car through its paces at Fiorano, Felipe Massa admiringly described the engine as “mean”. Alonso, on the other hand, was pleasantly surprised at the F12berlinetta’s soundtrack: “Ferraris are famous for their power, beauty and Sound track which is sexy just to listen to.”

The result? The exhilarating driving experience delivered by every Ferrari combined with absolutely unprecedented performance.

This takes us to the F12berlinetta’s chassis which was meticulously honed and constructed by the Scaglietti Centre of Excellence. Aluminium is the star of that particular show with no less than 12 different alloys used to create a completely new bodyshell. A combination of new assembly technologies have also slimmed down its weight by 70 kg compared to that of the previous V12 coupĂ© and boosted structural rigidity.
As Montezemolo described it, the F12berlinetta is “rigid and thus safe, compact, but very light”. Factor in a dry weight of 1525kg and you can imagine what sort of performance this thing delivers:  Faster into the bargain, sprinting from 0-100 km/h in 3.1 seconds, 0-200 km/h in 8.5 and a Top speed of 340kph.
  What this translates to in practical terms is a lap of Fiorano in just 1’23’’. That’s a record time but, to quote Massa, “there’s never any loss of control”.
The F12berlinetta is extraordinarily aerodynamically efficient too. Lengthy testing in the Wind Tunnel has honed the structure that inspired its design, the fruit of a collaboration between the Ferrari Style Centre and Pininfarina. The car’s clean forms are the product of a seamless marriage of superlative aerodynamic efficiency and elegantly balanced proportions.

The latest addition to the Prancing Horse range truly is “a very beautiful car brimming with personality and innovative design” as Montezemolo summed up the move away from the classic front-engined berlinetta idea of beauty which has been given an original,
very modern twist in the F12berlinetta whilst still retaining a touch of the inimitable Ferrari tradition. The result is aggressive yet sleek lines clothing a compact exterior and rounded flanks. A design so unusual it also affords exceptional cabin space and comfort, thanks in part also to new technologies and sophisticated handcrafted detailing.
Inside, the F12's cabin volume has been deliberately stream-lined, and the dash layout is far more modern.You can make up your own mind about the car's styling: it's a new Ferrari, it's the latest product of Ferrari's Centro Stile partnership with Pininfarina, and the internet debate will no doubt rage for weeks. But think of the F12 as a mix of 458 Italia and 599 GTO, mashed up with that classic Ferrari V12 GT playboy thing, and we're pretty sure you will not experience disappointment the first time one blasts past you.
